("Mullen Group" and/or the "Corporation") announced the closing of the previously announced acquisition of Hi-Way 9 Express Ltd., Load-Way Ltd., Streamline Logistics Inc. and 1006213 Alberta Ltd. (collectively, "Hi-Way 9") in a cash and shares transaction effective June 1, 2011. Hi-Way 9 has been in business since 1969 and is a recognized leader in Alberta in the less-than-truckload transportation business. The companies will operate as wholly-owned subsidiaries of Mullen Group. Mullen Group is also pleased to announce that Dean Kohut, Heather Colberg and Darrell Kohut, the senior management team of Hi-Way 9, have agreed to remain with Hi-Way 9 to oversee its on-going operations.
