Public Company 1993-2003

In 1993, Mullen went public, raising $9.3 million. In 1994, Mullen's Truckload Division had a customer base of over 2,000. The company acquired the Premay Group of companies and installed satellite communications in Oilfield Division trucks. Mullen completed a series of acquisitions during the decade, including Grimshaw Trucking, Art Primeau Trucking Services & Rentals, Cascade Carriers Group of Companies, Spendiff Transport, McGinnis Rat Hole Drilling, Mill Creek Inc.

In 2000, Mullen issued its first semi-annual dividend payment to shareholders. A series of initiatives between 2000 and 2002 moved Mullen to the forefront of logistics-driven transportation services across Canada and into the Far North. In combination with Inuvialuit Development Corporation and Northern Transportation Company, Mullen began providing a total transportation solution to the natural resources industry in the Far North. Mullen acquired E-Can Oilfield Services in 2000 and a 40 percent interest in the largest base camp facility in the Mackenzie Delta region of the Northwest Territories. Record revenues and strong profits in 2001 positioned the company to acquire seven additional companies in 2002. These included Dominion Rathole Drilling Ltd., OK Rathole Drilling Ltd., Anderson Air Drilling Ltd., Lloydminster Heavy Crude Services Ltd., Temor Oil Services (1974) Ltd., RC Campbell Oilfield Services Ltd. and Kam's Oilfield Hauling.
